He came here to chew bubblegum and teach the drums.

And Hes all out of bubblegum.

Robin Pirson started playing drums at the age of seven within the rustic and gritty environs of Southern Ontario, and started performing the professional club circuit at the early age of 10 with his father. With an obvious gift and passion for music that persisted throughout secondary school, he went on to post secondary pursuits at Mohawk College, Humber College and The University of Toronto in jazz performance studies.

Since then he has gone on to perform and record with numerous iconic artists. He has had the opportunity to share the stage and studio with: The Jay Hawks / Indigo Girls / Ron Sexsmith / Madison Violet / Gordon Lightfoot / Sarah Slean / Miranda Mulholland / Bill Dillon / Kirsten Jones / Bob Egan / The Dinner Belles / Mississippi Bends / Ginger St. James / Darcy Windover / The New Rebel Westerners / Rachel Heart / Fry Truck / Dave Pomfret / Snowheel Slim / Gary White and Matt Paxton & The Pintos. Robin has similarly been blessed to work with some world class producers such as Gary Louris, Nick Blagona and Danny Michel.

As well as performing, Robin has had seven plus years of teaching experience within the GTA and beyond. Secondarily, he works at restoration and revitalization of antique instruments (many of which he uses live and in the studio) under the ad moniker of Q Vintage Drums which additionally comprises a Reverb shop front where he sells many unique instruments globally. He currently performs regularly and resides in Hamilton , ON. Canada
